The transition path for a laid-off CEO

While much is being written about layoffs of employees, what is not being discussed enough is C-suite executives, especially CEOs, getting laid off, unless it’s the highly visible board-CEO differences as we saw being played out in the recent Open AI leadership announcements.

What should a CEO do after layoff?

“They can use this opportunity to pursue degrees or courses to upgrade their skills. Soul-searching is recommended to align personal values with professional conduct, especially in challenging situations. A change in the industry domain or geographical relocation may be considered if it offers an alternate path for career progression,” says Anshuman Das, CEO, Careernet.
