According to the Corporate Equality Index (CEI) 2021, around 767 companies achieved a top score for LGBTQ inclusive workplace policies despite having a tough year in terms of businesses, stakeholders and customers. Interestingly, the CEI index soared by 12 per cent as compared to 2020.
Clearly, workplace equality is not limited to women and people from diverse racial, ethnic and religious backgrounds, but also hiring LGBTQ employees and creating a supportive atmosphere for them to thrive at the workplace.
