Cybersecurity has evolved from a technology function to a board-level business priority, driven by rising threat volumes, expanding digital ecosystems, and regulatory pressure.
Against this backdrop, this report provides a data-driven view of India’s cybersecurity talent landscape across 14 critical skill domains, analyzed under three capability pillars: technical cybersecurity, Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), and emerging technology security.
Technical cybersecurity remains the most volume-intensive cluster, while demand is already exceeding active supply in domains including cloud and infrastructure security, application security, and data security and DLP.
Across emerging cybersecurity domains, demand has arrived ahead of supply, with IoT and connected devices, blockchain and Web3 security, and OT/ICS/SCADA security recording some of the highest open-to-active demand ratios in the study.
